Dr. Brad Nelson named McKnight Professor

1/6/99 - AML director Brad Nelson has just been awarded a McKnight Land-Grant Professorship for 1999-2001. The award includes additional lab research funds as well as a one year research leave.

Welcome newcomers, January 1999

1/4/99 - We are happy to welcome two new lab members:  Dr. Eniko Enikov joined us as a Postdoctoral Associate on January 4, 1999, and Mr. Ge Yang entered the Ph.D. program in the 1999 Winter Quarter.

Lab completes move from the University of Illinois, October 1998

10/15/98 - The Advanced Microsystems Laboratory in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at the University of Minnesota is open for business, or at least research. The AML was formerly the Precision Systems Laboratory at the University of Illinois at Chicago. The move from Chicago was completed in October 1998.
